Yes - we print on DVD-Rs for you! Both standard DVD-R and DL versions can be printed on. Custom printed DVD-R is one of the best forms of low-cost persistent marketing that you can use. Instead of advertising the disc's brand when you send content out, isn't it better to advertise your brand? We all receive discs for marketing purposes or for receiving content or art or files or documentation from many people and those discs tend to hang around on your desk or in your collection for a long time. What better way is there to have someone have your company or organisation continually reinforced in their memory? Almost none. Not to mention it also looks much more professional. We have: - inkjet
- thermal photoprint
- screen print
- offset print
Each one is available for you all the time. If you're in a hurry, then we recommend either inkjet or thermal photoprint for you. Turnaround times are usually two to three business days, although we do have overnight turnaround by arrangement at a premium. Screen and offset print are the two most professional finishes. This is what you would have seen on just about every professionally manufactured commercial CD or DVD. Screen print is available in up to five spot PMS colours. Using spot colour will give your design more impact and make it more vibrant as only pure pigments are used. We can also screen print in CMYK (four colour process, sometimes referred to as full colour). The limitation of screen print is that it can't resolve complex tonal gradations very well. Please note that there are special considerations when printing on DVD-R and using knock outs to the silver of the disc. Check in the FAQ for some design tips about this point. Offset print is the highest resolution, highest quality print method available presently. It works best for photographic images and similar and is excellent for art with tonal gradations. As it's higher resolution, you do need to prepare the artwork slightly differently to get the most out of this method. Please check in the FAQ for more details. The ink layer is much thinner than screen print, therefore the colours aren't as punchy. Please take this into account when you're designing your artwork. Additionally, if you have large areas of a solid colour, we recommend putting that onto an additional plate so it can be screen printed as a sixth colour. It will really enhance the end result for you.
